Café Hidalgo offers full service catering and event planning for any occasion.  Parties of up to 50 guests can be held in our dining room, up to 30 in our bodega & patio, or up to 175 guests in the Villa courtyard.  We also offer catering at your location.

This Spanish style villa was built in 1920 as "The California", one of only two hotels in North Orange county.  In 1969 two suites were added to the east side of the building and the California became The Villa del Sol, home to retail stores, restaurants and offices.  Café Hidalgo now offers catering and event planning for all occasions inside our beautiful dining room rustic bodega or in the Villa courtyard. 
Since 1998, Café Hidalgo has hosted a wide variety of events including wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, anniversary & birthday parties, baptism celebrations and class reunions.  Our professional staff provides food and beverage service at a level of excellence that will make your event one to remember for years to come.
Several options are available regarding menus and pricing.  We also arrange custom menus to accommodate any type of event.  Café Hidalgo offers served dinners for up to 30 guests and buffet style dinners for up to 175.  Table, china, linen and flatware rental is required for groups larger than 30.
The price list represents our most popular lunch and dinner options.  Prices are per person and do not include tax or gratuity.  Full bar service is available for any event.  Prices are generally charged on a per drink basis and depend on type of beverages requested, type of event, and duration of the event.
Every event we have catered is different and always requires a level of customization.  We strive to fulfill all of your expectations for your special party.  Acting as caterers and event planners we are available at any time during the process of planning your event to ensure a wonderful and elegant experience.
